Written by the director, the screenplay sees Run on the run... He has just killed the Prime Minister of his country. For that, he had had to wear the face and clothes of a madman, wandering across the city. His life comes back to him in flashes; his childhood with Master Tourou, when he dreamed of becoming a rain-maker, his adventures with Gladys the eater, his past in the militia as a Young Patriot, at the heart of the political and military conflict in the Ivory Coast. Run had not chosen any of these lives. Each time, he stumbled upon them as he was running away from a previous life. That’s why he is called Run.

Produced by Claire Gadéa for Banshee Films, Run is coproduced by Arte France Cinéma and Wassakara Productions (Ivory Coast). Backed amongst others by an advance on receipts from the CNC, the Atelier of the Cannes Film Festival, the Ivory Coast's Ministry of Culture, the ONAC-CI, Jerusalem International Film Lab, Amiens Film Festival (through an aid fund for development), the Francophone Fund for Audiovisual Production in the South (OIF) and Canal+ Afrique, the movie will be filmed in the Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso from July 15th to September 8th. French distribution and international sales will be handled by Bac Films.
