), the storyline focuses on 36-year-old Dom, a sailor on board the Alf, a fishing boat from the port of Les Sables d'Olonne that goes out on the high seas for three weeks at a time. Since his divorce a year ago, his daughter Mailys and his son Matteo have preferred to live with him despite his absences. When Mailys becomes pregnant, Dom comes to understand that he has a choice to make…

Produced by Grégoire Debailly for Geko Films, Tempête is benefitting from co-production by France 3 Cinéma, a pre-purchase by Canal+, backing in the form of an advance on receipts by the CNC, and support from the Pays-de-la-Loire region and Soficinéma. The 45 days of shooting will continue until 31 July in Les Sables d'Olonne. Distribution in French theatres will be managed by Ad Vitam, while international sales are at an advanced stage of negotiations.
