In the summer of 1975, Pier Paolo Pasolini is editing his most controversial film, Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom. In the meantime he's writing Petrolio, a work that denounces the scheming of corrupt political power, and hanging out with Pelosi, a boy from the Roman village in which the Magliana Gang, a criminal organisation that is about to get its hands on the city, starts to make its first moves. The night of 26 August, the Salò negatives are stolen from the premises of Technicolor. When during the night of 1 and 2 November 1975 Pasolini sets off to the seaplane base in Ostia to recover the film negatives, a death-trap is sprung on him, a scheme involving delinquency, organised crime and political and financial crime.

“There are so many hypothetical truths about the death of Pasolini", declares the director, author in 2004 of Evilenko, a film about the Rostov monster, “Pasolini was killed by Pelosi who first acted as informant on the theft of the Salò film rolls and then served as bait for the ambush at the seaplane base. Pasolini was assassinated by the infamous Magliana Gang. Pasolini was killed on Eugenio Cefis' orders because he was investigating the shady dealings of the Director of Eni and Montedison. Pasolini sacrificed his life and died by planning his martyrdom down to the last detail. There is some truth in each one of these theories. One truth buried under so many others”.
