Pascal Chaumeil goes A Long Way Down

Director Pascal Chaumeil (Heartbreaker [+see also:

) has commenced principal photography on A Long Way Down, adapted from Nick Hornby’s hit novel by Jack Thorne (The Scouting Book For Boys). The film is currently being shot on location in England and Spain. The cast includes Pierce Brosnan, Toni Collette, Aaron Paul, Imogen Poots, Sam Neill and Rosamund Pike.

On a New Year’s Eve atop a London skyscraper, four people turn up with a view to commit suicide. Instead of jumping, these four strangers make a pact to stay alive and stay together until Valentine’s Day at least.

) are producing through their company Wildgaze Films. Financing is by BBC Films and DCM. Executive producers are Christine Langan for BBC Films; Dario Suter, Christoph Daniel and Marc Schmidheiny for DCM; Thorstan Schumacher for HanWay; Zygi Kamasa for Lionsgate UK and Nick Hornby.
