Six Swiss docs set out for foreign lands
With support from the Federal Office for Culture, promotion agency Swiss Films allocates an annual sum of €230,000 for the foreign distribution of Swiss films. At its latest funding allocation session, six Swiss documentaries and their six European distributors were selected.
Les Films du Losange was granted €25,000 for the French release of Jean-Stéphane Bron’s Cleveland Versus Wall Street [+see also:

film profile], while Hevadis Films received €5,000 for French distribution of Dominique Margot’s Toumast – Guitars and Kalashnikovs.
In Germany, €5,000 went to Rapid Eye Movies for the release of Stascha Bader’s Rocksteady: The Roots of Reggae; €10,000 to Arsenal Filmverleih for Peter Guyer and Norbert Wiedmer’s Sounds and Silence; and €8,000 to Kool Filmdistribution for Christian Frei’s Space Tourists [+see also:

Meanwhile, Sabine Gisiger and Beat Häner’s Guru – Bhagwan, His Secretary and His Bodyguard will be released in Germany, where Pandora Film was granted €15,000, and in Austria, where Polyfilm received €5,500.
