Shooting for Vinodentro kicks off in Trentino
by Camillo de Marco
- A film about the wine world, somewhere between noir and comedy. Directed by Ferdinando Vicentini Orgnani, with Vincenzo Amato, Giovanna Mezzogiorno and cinematography by Dante Spinotti
In Trentino, on the 25th of August, the shooting of the film Vinodentro [+see also:
film profile] directed by the director, screenwriter and producer Ferdinando Vicentini Orgnani (Mare Largo), will begin. Loosely based on the novel "Vino Dentro" by Fabio Marcotto (edited by Curcu&Genovese), the film is scripted by the director himself and Heidrun Schleef (La stanza del figlio, Ricordati di me). The Director or Photography is Dante Spinotti (nominated twice for an Oscar with L.A. Confidential and Insider), whilst the original music is signed by trumpeter Paolo Fresu.
It is the story of Giovanni Cuttin, the most important and recognized Italian wine-writer (the Italian Sommelier Association supports the project). His life unfolds as repeated successes between public wine tastings, conferences, and the presentation of his autobiographical book Vinodentro. Until one day he meets a beautiful and mysterious woman who drags him into a downwards spiral with no exit. Through an enigmatic past which resurfaces, glasses of Marzemino and echoes of Mozart’s Don Giovanni, sooner or later the bill must be paid.
The cast includes Vincenzo Amato (Respiro [+see also:

Vinodentro is produced by Alba Produzioni srl by Sandro Frezza and Ferdinando Vicentini Orgnani in collaboration with Trentino Marketing Spa and the support of the Trentino Film Commission.
