Hippocrates wins big at My French Film Festival
Hippocrates by Thomas Lilti

Chaired by French director Michel Gondry, who was backed up by Belgium’s Joachim Lafosse, Israel’s Nadav Lapid and Mauritania’s Abderrahmane Sissako, the jury of filmmakers for the fifth edition of My French Film Festival (an online event organised from 16 January-16 February by UniFrance – read the news) has handed out its award to Hippocrates [+see also:

As for the statistical assessment of the festival, 560,000 viewings were recorded in total. While this figure was strongly affected by the absence of Chinese viewers/cybernauts this year owing to stronger censorship measures, the total is up on 2014’s figures if we exclude this country from the statistics. Interestingly, there were 150,000 viewings in Poland, 100,000 in Russia and a significant rise in Latin American viewers.
