tells the story of two sisters aged around 40, who have two diametrically opposite ways of living their lives. Livia (Gerini) is a beautiful, cheeky cellist, while Tina (Andreozzi) is a shy traffic officer. The former lives with Fabio (Pasotti), a sweet and hospitable osteopath, and the latter lives with Gianni (Lillo), an unremarkable and narrow-minded colleague of hers. Livia does not want to have children, while Tina has been trying to conceive for years: when Tina starts to lose her mind as a result of her quest, Livia, after receiving advice from a gynaecologist friend, the provocative Nicola (Fresi), decides to go ahead with a surrogate pregnancy for her. Over the next nine months, Livia will have to hide her ever-expanding tummy, while Tina will pretend to be pregnant herself, giving rise to tragicomic situations that will also involve her birth family: a mother who is a master ragu chef, an idealistic daydreamer of a father, and a Neocatechumenal Way brother with a devoted wife and four daughters.

The shoot for 9 lune e mezza, which has just started, will last six weeks and will take place in Rome and the Lazio region. The movie will be distributed in Italian theatres by Vision Distribution.
