As more and more industry events move their editions either to a hybrid or to an entirely digital environment, many leaders of training organisations for film professionals are following their path. EAVE relied on the WYTH platform for its latest PUENTES edition (news), and ACE Producers and MIDPOINT Institute are now moving their courses into an interactive hybrid context using the technology of the Swiss company.

The WYTH platform was previously used during the When East Meets West (WEMW) co-production market and the Visions du Réel Swiss Film Festival’s industry section, creating hybrid locations that ensured user interactions through a highly intuitive and highly technological digital environment.

With this expansion to training organisations, the aim is not to create just a location for lectures, but virtual campuses which will guarantee the relationship between professors and students by activating and stimulating continuous networking activity. Lessons can be planned using the internal agenda of the system, with WYTH Meetings or with third-party systems that can easily be integrated, while the participants are living an experience of continuous connection thanks to the WYTH Plaza and the WYTH Connect platforms.

In detail, the WYTH Connect platform offers collaborative tools such as video chats and single or group text chats, which allow students to continue the conversation and share links, documents and images, even after the end of lessons or workshops. Meanwhile, the WYTH Plaza is the area where participants discuss and have a chance to network with industry professionals from all over the world, through group or individual exchanges.

Samuele Franzini, CEO and Founder of WYTH, underlines: “WYTH was born with the aim of helping organisations, schools and event organisers to build exclusive and personalised hybrid locations, spaces in which importance is still given to human relationship and interaction while also exploiting the capabilities of digital.”

As with every event, the schools can completely customise their hybrid space: within the dedicated and customised pages, one can find real multimedia libraries, in order to access the content desired at any time. This service offers organisers the perception of being in a dimension that is close to the physical one, albeit in a totally digital context: one of the most important aspects for higher education institutions in this sector.

Franzini also adds: “We are happy that international film schools such as EAVE, MIDPOINT Institute and ACE Producers have chosen to use WYTH as an educational platform and to embrace digital, in the hope that the sector will continue on this path and that it can train young professionals while always guaranteeing high quality.”
