01/07/2022 - These projects hailing from all over the world will take part in the nineth edition of the market, organised within Venice Production Bridge which is unspooling 2 - 4 September

Dedicated to films in the final phases of development and funding, and organised within Venice Production Bridge, the Venice Gap-Financing Market has announced the 63 projects selected to take part in the nineth edition of the event, which is scheduled for 2 – 4 September during the 79th Venice International Film Festival.

Composed of works hailing from all four corners of the globe, the selection reflects a wide variety of backgrounds, stories, talents, genres and budgets, and includes 33 fiction feature film and documentary projects (of which 5 are projects from Taiwan and France, this year’s VPB Country in Focus), 16 immersive projects (of which 4 Country in Focus projects), 11 Biennale College – Virtual Reality projects, and 3 Biennale College – Cinema projects.

Across its various locations, the Venice Gap-Financing Market is set to host one-to-one meetings between the teams (i.e. the producer and director) behind these 63 projects and professionals with decisional power (producers, private and public funders, banks, distributors, sales agents, TV channels, online and video platforms, institutions and post-production companies).

The Book of Projects containing detailed information on each of the projects will be published online towards the middle of July. VPB-accredited film industry professionals will be able to request one-to-one meetings with project teams via the Venice Production Bridge website.
