Written by Antoine Besse, the story revolves around Pierre who is 13 years old when he loses his mother. He’s a shy boy who lives only for his passion: skateboarding. Thirty-something Bertrand is a seasonal worker on Pierre’s father’s farm. Part dandy, part punk, he stands out in this remote rural location and gets high as if trying to escape from his past. One day, Pierre is challenged by a gang of skaters. The situation escalates: they harass him and chase him on social media. But his hope is rekindled when he learns that Bertrand was once a talented skater and, between meet-ups and training sessions, he becomes Pierre’s mentor. United by their shared passion, they look to one another for the strength to rebuild and assert themselves, and to try to face up to their impossible losses…

Produced by Jean-Michel Rey and Henry Jean on behalf of Rezo Productions, Ollie has been pre-purchased by Canal+ and Ciné+, and enjoys support from Pictanovo (of the Hauts de France region), the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region and Alhambra Studios. The 30-day film shoot has unfolded in the Dordogne and the French department of Oise. Distribution in French cinemas is entrusted to Rezo Films while sales are steered by The Bureau Sales.
