film profile]) and based on the novel Son nom d’avant by Hélène Lenoir, the script centres on Marianne, the wife of a wealthy industrialist, envied and admired, model spouse and devoted housewife. She’s about to turn 40 and the comfort of the large family home has slowly closed its merciless trap on her. The prisoner of an inextricable network of social, family and marital obligations, accomplice of her own erasure, she has denied herself, without even realising. And so, when the shadow of her past resurfaces from the shadows, a breach opens. Is another life possible? And at what cost?
Mrs. is produced by Candice Zaccagnino for Eliane Antoinette and by Olivier Akin for Reboot Films (a partnership that was already behind David Roux’s first feature), anc co-produced by Belgian outfits La Compagnie Cinématographique and Panache Productions. Pre-bought by Ciné+/OCS, Disney+ and TMC, the feature also benefits from the support of the Pays de la Loire region, the Somme department, Procirep and Angoa, as well as Sofica Cineventure, Cofimage and Cofinova. The shoot will take place in January and February with Aurélien Marra (nominated at the 2021 Lumière Awards for Two of Us [+see also:
