Adapted by Inès Léraud and Pierre Jolivet from the graphic novel of the same French name written by the former with Pierre Van Hove, the script follows the investigation of Inès Léraud, a young journalist, who, driven by an ecological conscience, decides to move to Brittany to investigate the phenomenon of green algae, an environmental disaster with deadly consequences affecting certain Breton coasts. Through her meetings with whistleblowers, scientists, farmers and elected officials, she elucidates, with difficulty and determination, half a century of silence.

Produced by Marc-Antoine Robert and Xavier Rigault for 2.4.7 Films, Green Tide< is co-produced by France 3 Cinéma, Haut et Court and Belgian outfits Panache Production and the Compagnie Cinématographique. Pre-bought by Canal+, Ciné+ and France Télévisions, the feature also benefits from the support of the Brittany region. Haut et Court will handle French distribution while international sales are led by Indie Sales.
