By the end of the night, the Triangle of Sadness camp had scored a landslide victory, bringing home six awards out of their nine nominations, while the seven nominations for Boy from Heaven resulted in a repeat performance in the Best Screenplay category, the film’s only win of the evening.
Apart from the Best Film Award, Triangle of Sadness also won for Best Supporting Actress and Actor – Dolly de Leon and Zlatko Burić – Best Costumes, Best Make-up and a Best Director accolade for Östlund himself. As the film’s English-language dialogue precludes it from being eligible for the Best International Feature Film Oscar submission, this year’s choice, Boy from Heaven, still stands a chance for a nomination in this category after making the December shortlist. Saleh’s movie also got the annual prize of the Swedish Film Critics’ Association, the Greta Award, announced last week.

The post-apocalyptic Netflix action-thriller Black Crab got three solid technical awards, and the Best Actor gong went to another youngster, Granit Rushiti, playing a decent football game as well as the title character in I Am Zlatan [+lee también:
