As if that weren’t enough, five films sold by mk2 are set to grace the Cannes Classics programme: Les parapluies de Cherbourg by Jacques Demy, Four Nights of a Dreamer by Robert Bresson, and the documentaries François Truffaut, le scénario de ma vie by David Teboul (co-written with Serge Toubiana), Jacques Rozier : d’une vague à l’autre by Emmanuel Barnault and Jacques Demy, le rose et le noir by Florence Platarets.

The French sales agent is also kicking off presales on The Secret Agent by Brazil’s Kleber Mendonça Filho (who competed in Cannes in 2016 and 2019 with Aquarius [+lee también:

And that’s without forgetting movies in post-production Peacock by Germany’s Bernhard Wenger, Samia by his compatriot of Kurdish origin Yasemin Şamdereli, The Vanishing by Algeria’s Karim Moussaoui and Pink Lady by Israel’s Nir Bergman. For the record, the French firm are also sharing sales with Cinetic on Todd Haynes’ upcoming movie (as yet unnamed) which is toplined by Joaquin Phoenix, and, last but not least, they’ll be kicking off pre-sales on Alpha Gang by David and Nathan Zellner, which stars Cate Blanchett in the lead role.
