ficha de la serie] and 1992 / 1993 / 1994, as well as participating in the writing of Gomorrah, the Roman screenwriter shot the movie in Rome and Naples over the course of seven weeks.

Written by Rampoldi herself, Breve storia d’amore follows Lea and Rocco who meet in a bar and soon become lovers. But their secret relationship, which is consummated in a hotel room, takes a sinister turn when Lea tries to wind her way into Rocco’s everyday life.

"As a screenwriter, I wrote for other directors for years, always with great confidence and satisfaction", Rampoldi enthused. "When it came to this story about twisted relationships, betrayals, purity and obsessions, I felt the need to direct it myself, blending thriller and irony, drama and sentimental comedy, and placing my trust in a cast of extraordinary and generous actors, as well as in a crew who have been brilliant, and not only from a technical viewpoint".
