For the first time, Europa Distribution and CPH:DOX - Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival, join forces to host a closed workshop for film publishers-distributors members of the association, taking place from March 23-26 in Copenhagen. Through case studies focusing on documentary releases, participants will delve into audience engagement, admissions, and strategic insights for theatrical and VOD campaigns. More than 15 independent distributors, all members of the European Network of Independent Film Publishers and Distributors will participate in a session organised by Europa Distribution in collaboration with CPH:DOX as part of their industry programme.
During this workshop, Europa Distribution’s members will delve into case studies showcasing recent European and international documentaries released in the past year. On this occasion, distributors Vera Herchenbach (Madman Entertainment, Australia), Droo Padhiar (Dogwoof, UK), David Van Marlen (Cherry Pickers, The Netherlands) and Vincent Quek (Anticipate Pictures, Singapore) will share their experience regarding their publishing work, release strategies and promotional campaigns for several documentaries released recently. They will present detailed analysis, focusing on audience targeting and admissions results, marketing campaigns and partnerships, theatrical exploitation and/or VOD releases, on the following films: Bernard Macmahon's Becoming Led Zepellin [+lee también:

Thanks to the Europa Distribution – CPH:DOX partnership, attending distributors will also participate in other industry activities, including meetings and networking events, looking for the next documentaries to release.
Looking ahead, Europa Distribution will continue its discussions on the unique challenges faced in the circulation, release and promotion of independent European films. In April the closing session for the EDMS mentorship programme will take place in Brussels on Friday 11 April and a workshop focusing on Asian releases in the scope of Focus Asia, Udine will take place from 27-30 April. Europa Distribution renewed its partnership with Annecy International Animation Film Festival and will be hosting a working session on the distribution and exhibition of animation films across diverse regions together with CICAE - International Confederation of Arthouse Cinemas, from 10-12 June.
