Written by Nicole Garcia and her usual partner in crime Jacques Fieschi (a five-time César nominee in his field who triumphed in 2022 for his adaptation of Lost Illusions), the screenplay centres on Alice who moves to a small town in the south of France where she gets a job as a waitress in a cafeteria. She seems unattached. But she is there for Milo, a young man who works in a garage nearby and seems oblivious to her existence. Without telling him who she is, Alice wants to approach him, talk to him, get to know him... Recognise him.
Milo is being produced by Alain Attal for Les Productions du Trésor in co-production with France 3 Cinéma, StudioCanal (who will also oversee distribution in France and international sales), Marcel Films and the Belgian outfit Artémis Productions. The shoot will last eight weeks.
For the record, Trésor Films are also overseeing Jeanne Herry’s Garance in production (read our article) and Marion Le Corroller’s co-production Species which is currently in post-production (article).
