ficha de la película]), the story takes us to Sicily where a man called Rachid is searching for his son who left Africa but subsequently disappeared in the Mediterranean. Sicilian police officer Claudia is putting together an album comprising objects found on the bodies of dead migrants. It’s an encounter between two lonely souls, a phantom shipwreck, and a journey between a thriller and a noir novel, inspired by a true story…

Produced by Italian firm Eurofilm (Simoneta Amenta) and French outfits Offshore (Fabrice Préel-Cléach) and 13 Prods, Il registro has been pre-purchased by RAI and enjoys development and production support from the Fund for French-Italian Co-Productions (steered by the CNC and the Italian Ministry of Culture). The feature film also enjoys backing from the Sicily Region where the five-week film shoot will continue until 30 March. World sales are entrusted to The Pool Films while distribution in French cinemas falls to Bac Films.
