fiche film]). For six weeks, until 10 November, the film will be shot in different locations in Bilbao and other towns in Bizkaia such as Barakaldo, Durango, Bakio, Orduña and Amorebieta.

According to production information, the film reconstructs the story of a great love that started with its end: Ángela (played by María Vázquez) and Antonio (played by Pablo Molinero) are a couple who, like so many others, fell in love, lived a dream, had children, tried hard not to give up and failed several times. When love comes to an end, questions arise; where did it all go wrong? How did we end up like this? In a journey through the good and bad of their relationship, Ángela and Antonio struggle against instability, the interference of desire and the idealisation of love.

Co-written by the director with Virginia Yagüe (Los niños salvajes [+lire aussi :

fiche film]), the screenplay adapts the novel Feliz final by Isaac Rosa to the screen, with Txarli Argiñano (the series La vida es nuestra) as cinematographer; Maite Pérez-Nievas as art director; and Javier Bernal in charge of wardrobe.

"Nosotros is about ordinary people and universal passions that anyone anywhere can relate to, and it accurately and starkly depicts how two people who have loved each other so much can drift apart until they become virtual strangers. Despite renouncing classical romanticism, the film does not renounce its poetic breath and aims to shed light, truth and beauty on the recognition of the transcendence of love", says Helena Taberna.

"It's a film about actors and they carry the whole weight of the story. Both María Vázquez and Pablo Molinero are at peak professional maturity to tackle the complexity of their characters with depth and richness of nuances", she continues. "I want to make a deep and bright film about love and heartbreak, offering an honest look at modern sentimental relationships and proposing new reflections on the importance of love as a driving force in life."

The film has the participation of RTVE and EITB, and the support of the ICAA, the Basque Government and the Government of Navarre.
