Spanish Screenings Content, one of the key areas of Spanish Screenings XXL and part of MAFIZ, the industry area of the Malaga Festival, will be held in this Mediterranean city between 4 and 8 March under the slogan Talent, Diversity, Opportunities, and will present 222 Spanish productions to the international industry.

Spanish Screenings, in its 18th edition in 2024, is the only official market for the sale and promotion of Spanish cinema whose main goal is to promote its export. Buyers, sales agents, national and international distributors, VOD-SVOD platform managers, festival programmers and accredited producers will have the latest Spanish productions available to them on the spanishscreenings.online platform.

Spanish Screenings Content films are presented in the different sections of the initiative: Market Premieres with four productions not premiered in any other international market, with the participation of its artistic talent, such as Little Loves [+lire aussi :

In the Market Screenings section, 38 recently produced Spanish films with little exposure in international markets will be screened. And in the Neo Screenings section, seven of the most innovative and daring films will be screened to highlight the new forms of cinematographic expression that are being created in Spain.

In the Next from Spain section, trailers and film footage of 19 films in post-production due for release in 2024 and 2025 will be shown. And the Regional Film Hub is a platform for promoting and distributing films from the different Autonomous Communities, where their film institutes will present eleven titles whose development and production they have supported.

In Remake Day, 20 films will be screened with the possibility of acquiring remake rights in other countries, and in Film Library, 42 recent Spanish films will be available to accredited international buyers, programmers and producers.

Malaga Spanish WIP is the space designed for completing Spanish feature films in the post-production phase, where six (read more) will be presented; and in the Animation Hub there will be five works in progress of animation productions: Alice’s Diary, a film directed by Diogo ViegasThe Violinist, by Raul García and Ervin HanBlack Butterflies, by David BauteThe Invisibles, by Imanol Zinkunegi; and Norbert, by José Corral Llorente.

Finally, in the Malaga Short Corner, 65 short films will be presented to an audience of professionals and representatives of international festivals specialising in this format.
