We now know the identities of the eight jury members who, guided by chair Isabelle Huppert (see the news), will hand out the Golden Lion for Best Film and the other official awards at the 81st Venice Film Festival (28 August-7 September), headed up by Alberto Barbera.

Besides the iconic French actress, the international jury for the Venezia 81 Competition will comprise: US writer-director James Gray, who scooped the Silver Lion at Venice in 1994 for Little Odessa, and who was again in competition on the Lido in 2019 with Ad Astra; UK writer-director Andrew Haigh, who was in competition at Venice in 2017 with Lean on Pete [+lire aussi :

The Golden Lion for Best Film and the other official awards (which include the Silver Lion – Grand Jury Prize, Silver Lion for Best Director, Volpi Cup for Best Actress, Volpi Cup for Best Actor, Special Jury Prize, Award for Best Screenplay, and Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best New Young Actor or Actress) will be announced and handed out on Saturday 7 September, during the closing ceremony of the 81st Venice Film Festival, on the stage of the Sala Grande in the Palazzo del Cinema on the Lido.
