The plot features Claudia (played by Miren Ibarguren), a women who traumatically loses her daughter only to discover years later, just as she begins to move on, that Ángela may still be alive. “Mum, it's me. Please, come and get me!” This is what she hears over the phone, giving her renewed hope. Claudia turns to Salazar (Rodrigo de la Serna), the inspector who handled the case after the disappearance, and Laura, the young women whose life Ángela saved after a serious traffic accident. Together, they follow the trail of the girl through mysterious places that hide a terrifying truth.
“When I watch the characters on the monitor they drag me into a disturbing and hypnotic world, with truly shocking sensations and which is highly addictive,” says Freixas, “and although we could say that the series asks whether miracles happen, what it is really talking about is the need to people to believe in something, to find meaning in their lives."
The Movistar Plus+ executive producer Fran Araújo says: "After the success of Todos mienten and the great experience of working with Pau, Movistar Plus + wanted to continue collaborating with him. All we needed was to read the beginning of The Nameless to know that we had found the next project together: the screenplay by Pol Cortecans is addictive and full of personality and Pau's vision of the story captivated us from the very first moment. It has all the ingredients we are looking for: a point of view, artistic ambition and a desire to reach the general public.”
The Nameless is a Movistar Plus+ original in collaboration with Filmax and will be distributed by Movistar Plus+ International.
