The Málaga Festival Fund & Co Production Event (MAFF), which is part of the MAFIZ industry zone of the Málaga Film Festival, will take place from 17 to 21 March during the 28th edition of the festival. The forum aims to collaborate in the development of innovative Ibero-American cinema, with content that raises societal awareness, encourages reflection on the change sought in the world, and ultimately creates inclusive and collaborative societies through its sections Social MAFF and MAFF Women Screen Industry.
MAFF is a space that fosters artistic and financial growth, innovation and the visibility of projects, creating a network of contacts, increasing funding opportunities, and promoting a space for effective communication that facilitates dialogue between producers and professionals in the global audiovisual industry. To achieve this, it offers training activities, mentoring and business connections, all of which contribute to securing business agreements that will enable the future financing of the selected projects. This year, 23 projects are featured, which are listed below.
Among the selected projects are works by directors such as Spanish Fernando Franco (Goya award for New Director with Wounded [+lire aussi :

MAFF brings together key international co-production funding bodies to promote the internationalisation of these new Ibero-American productions.
In addition, Warmi Lab is a training programme for women filmmakers, as part of MAFF. This workshop has been created by the Málaga Film Festival as part of its MAFIZ Industry programme to empower women producers and address the training and access gap in the global audiovisual industry. The initiative aims to support the promotion and sales of audiovisual projects from Latin America that are produced by women.
