and La vida breve), Athenea Mata (Champions), Teresa Hurtado de Ory, Laia AlberchAlicia Bravo, Rodrigo Díaz and Candela Moreno. The filming of this feature film, with a screenplay by Juanjo Moscardó and María Mínguez, will take place in Tenerife and Madrid.

Ghislain Barrois, head of the film, fiction, rights and distribution division at  Mediaset España and chief executive officer of Telecinco Cinema, stated that "when, in 2015, Alessandro Salem, current CEO of Mediaset España and at that time director of the Italian film production company Medusa Film, sent Paolo Vasile the script for Perfetti sconosciuti, few imagined that the film would become one of the most successful phenomena in recent world cinema, with the highest number of international adaptations, from France to India, Japan and South Korea. In Spain, Perfect Strangers entered the top 10 highest-grossing Spanish films of all time in 2017. According to data from the ICAA, the film grossed more than €20 million and was seen by 3,284,736 viewers in Spanish cinemas.

“Following that success, we spent years searching for the formula to construct a story that would live up to the original, opting for a radical change: a new story centred on two of its characters, in which we replaced bonds of friendship with family ties, and where secrets come to light due to the certainty of imminent death. It all started in 2021 with the surprise eruption of the volcano on the Canary Island of La Palma. This time, everyone thinks they are going to die, setting off an explosive domino effect that will bring all kinds of secrets to light," he concludes.

Perfectos conocidos is produced by Telecinco Cinema, Kiko Martínez for Nadie es Perfecto, Fesser and Luis Manso for Películas Pendelton and Extraños Conocidos AIE, with the participation of Mediaset España, Movistar Plus+ and Mediterráneo Mediaset España Group. It will be distributed in Spanish cinemas by Universal Pictures International Spain, with international sales handled by Film Factory.
