Since 20 May, Romane Bohringer has been filming Dites-lui que je l’aime (lit. “Tell Her I Love Her”), her second feature-length directorial effort, following In the Move for Love [+leggi anche:

) of the book Dites-lui que je l’aime by Clémentine Autain, the screenplay revolves around Romane, who has decided to adapt Clémentine Autain’s book about her mother for the cinema. This project will force her to confront her past and her own mother, who abandoned her when she was nine months old.

Produced by Sophie Révil and Denis Carot for Escazal Films (which previously staged In the Move for Love), Dites-lui que je l’aime has been pre-purchased by Canal+ and Ciné+. Also supported via the CNC’s advance on receipts and by the Cofinova and Indéfilms Soficas, the feature’s principal photography will continue in Paris until 3 July with Bertrand Mouly serving as DoP. The French theatrical distribution will be overseen by ARP Sélection and the international sales by Kinology.
