This session follows an initial four weeks in July-August. The director (who made a name for himself with his short films Welcome to China, Coming Out, Mon dernier rôle and Undercover) has put together a cast that includes names such as Denis Podalydès (a 2012 and 2013 César nominee for Best Actor for his roles in The Conquest [+see also:

Written by Ayache-Vidal, the screenplay centres on François Foucault, an associate professor of French literature at one of the most selective and elitist high schools in Paris, the lycée Henri IV. Following a series of events, he is forced to accept a one-year transfer to a school in a Parisian suburb classed REP+ (a high-priority education network). He fears the worst, and rightly so...
Produced by Alain Benguigui for Sombrero Films and Thomas Verhaeghe for Atelier de Production, The Teacher is co-produced by France 3 Cinéma. Rights to the film, which will be distributed in the second half of 2017 and sold internationally by Bac Films, have also been pre-purchased by Canal+ and Ciné+.
Following two days of shooting in Morocco this week, Sombrero Films and Atelier de Production will also wrap shooting for Eric Lavaine’s romantic comedy L'embarras du choix [+see also:

As a final note, Sombrero Films is also co-producing Yanna Gozlan’s Burn Out [+see also:
