The Spanish agency Latido Films will start to manage the international (pre-)sales of Re-creation at the European Film Market  of the 74th Berlinale (15-25 February). A co-production between Ireland and Luxembourg by the companies Hell's Kitchen and Joli Rideau Media, it is directed and written by Jim Sheridan (My Left Foot, In the Name of the Father and In America, among others) and David Merriman, and stars Vicky Krieps (seen last year in Ingeborg Bachmann – Journey into the Desert [+see also:

) and Sheridan himself. The film, which is currently being shot, tells the story of a fictional trial where twelve jurors must decide whether journalist Ian Bailey is guilty of the murder of French filmmaker Sophie Toscan Du Plantier in 1996. Based on real events and through the discussions between these twelve people, the film reconstructs a case that invites the viewer to draw their own conclusions.
