FRAGMENTS SUR LE GRÂCE

by Vincent Dieutre

synopsis

Together with his crew, a filmmaker attempts a full immersion in the incandescent world of Port-Royal and Jansenism. With Baroque readings from texts written in old French, idyllic landscapes and encounters, the historical research is gradually transformed into a dizzy, swirling, disorientating work. And the film revolves around the unanswered question of grace.
