Western, Family and Communism is a western told by each member of one family who move about Iran in a camper van. Like their point of departure, their arrival point remains unknown. The film is composed of documentary material that this family recorded as it moved about alien territory, amid wide-open spaces, making new acquaintances with intriguing individuals.
