Luciano, who has just gotten out of prison, is taken by his brother, Flórido, to Alfreda's house. Alfreda is a rich woman whom is going to serve. He was surprised when she told hom that her wish was to see the apparition of the Virgin Mary. Now he had to hear the sublime pretences of that rich woman who said she would only rest after having seen the apparition of the Virgin Mary and having asked her some questions.
