Pyramide’s European line-up in Rome

With French, Belgian, Swiss and Italian films, Paris-based international seller Pyramide has a line-up reflecting European diversity at The Business Street market, which kicks off on Thursday at the 4th Rome Film Festival.

The team headed by Eric Lagesse will be hoping for success in competition with Belgian director Bernard Bellefroid’s The Boat Race [+see also:

film profile] and will present a market screening of Swiss filmmaker Frédéric Mermoud’s Partners, which won the Audience Award at Locarno.

Pyramide will also present initial footage lasting 15-20 minutes from Italian director Silvio Soldini’s What More Do I Want, which features Pierfrancesco Favino and Alba Rohrwacher (Shooting Star 2009) and will be released theatrically in March 2010.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this autumn, Pyramide will also continue sales in Rome for Catherine Corsini’s Leaving [+see also:

The company’s line-up also includes two French films in post-production: Frédéric Chignac’s Le Temps de la Kermesse Est Terminé (“The Days of the Charity Fair Are Over”) and Medhi Ben Attia’s The Thread; and four titles currently shooting or about to start: Swiss director Jean-Stéphane Bron’s documentary Save The American Dream and debut French features Jimmy Rivière by Teddy Lussi-Modeste, Belle Epine (“Beautiful Thorn”) by Rebecca Zlotowski and Angèle et Tony by Alix Delaporte.

Also among Pyramide’s assets at Rome are two features in pre-production: majority French film A Screaming Man Is Not A Dancing Bear by Chadian director Mahamat-Saleh Haroun (Dry Season); and Israeli/French co-production The Mission of the Human Resources Manager by Eran Riklis (Lemon Tree [+see also:
