Sunshine starts in Three Mills Studios

UK director Danny Boyle and writer Alex Garland, the duo behind the successful films 28 Days Later and The Beach are back in action with their Untitled Sunshine Project currently filming in central London’s major studio complex 3 Mills Studios.
The science-fiction film set 50 years from now, tells the story of a team of astronauts sent on a mission to reignite a part of the dying sun. But deep into their voyage, out of radio contact with Earth, their mission is starting to unravel. There is an accident, a fatal mistake, and a distress beacon from a spaceship that disappeared seven years earlier. Soon the crew is fighting not only for their lives, but their sanity.

The film stars Cillian Murphy, Michelle Yeoh, Chris Evans, Rose Byrne, Cliff Curtis, Hiroyuki Sanada, Troy Garity and Benedict Wong. Also part of the crew is Boyle’s previous collaborators on Millions [+see also:

and 28 Days Later production designer Mark Tildesley and editor Chris Gill.
The film is produced by the director’s usual partner Andrew MacDonald from DNA Films, in co-production with Fox Searchlight which has a 50% stake in the UK production company.
