Designated Commissioner for Justice, Fundamental Rights and Citizenship in late November 2009, Viviane Reding was the most visible face of the Media Programme since 1999. About to leave for her new tasks in the upcoming Barroso Commission, Reding spoke to Cineuropa about the challenges of the new Commission and the priorities for the upcoming years in the audiovisual field: fighting piracy, favouring legal VOD services and digitalising cinemas.
