Shot in a edgy style, with cold colours and fast editing, the films offers a look at the dark side of Oslo through the story of an agent (HP) of the special anti-narcotics police squad (Called Uro). HP infiltrates the world of drug dealing and soon finds himself involved in a particularly dirty and dangerous affair that reveals his stormy past.

The 34 year-old Faldbaken studied production at Stockholm’s Dramatiska Institutet and his short films won numerous prizes at various international festivals. His first feature is somewhat penalised, however, by an excessively “television-like” screenplay, written by Faldbaken and Harald Rosenløw Eeg (Hawaii, Oslo [+see also:

).

Uro was produced by Christian Fredrik Martin and Asle Vatn for Friland, in co-production with Sandrew Metronome and Frida Ohrvik, and is being sold internationally by Rezo Films, which will distribute the film in France. The film is scheduled to be released in Norway on August 25 by Metronome, after opening the Haugesund Film Festival.
